Europe is alarmed again for ISIS attacks, this time their target is the UK. A short while after the slaughter in Palmyra the Times gives the alarm speaking of possible – yet real – attacks that jihadists could do after the training with the Caliphate. The British anti-terrorism think jihadists could use handmade chemical weapons, as chlorine bombs. These bombs are easily made with a legal substance and is the default chemical weapon of the ISIS.
In order to ward off the menace, the colonel Hamish de Bretton-Gordon – one of the most expert on chemical wars – asked the government to control strictly the selling of chlorine. This substance is usually used to purify water in pools or to disinfect surfaces, although it can be deadly when breathed in. a handmade chlorine bomb can cause a slaughter, especially in a metropolitan city as London, in a train station or in a shopping center. In Syria and Iraq, militants of the self-proclaimed Caliphate create chlorine bombs with parts of fridges.
“Every jihadist coming back to the UK or the USA will be well informed about this kind of bomb – explains colonel Bretton-Gordon – in the UK about 90 tons of chlorine gas have been bought without permission. An attack is very probable”.
