Yet another slaughter by ISIS in Libya. The Islamic State released a video documenting the beheading of 2 groups of 29 Ethiopian Copts. The 29-minutes video was spread by Al Furqan channel, the department of the movement that is in charge of media. Terrorists explained that two movement collaborating with ISIS made executions; one is in Barka – east of Libya – and the other in Fezzan – in the south. This is why, in the background of the video, it is possible to see a northeast seaside for 12 beheading and a south desert for 16 men beaten in the back of their heads. The video shows something very similar to the slaughter of the Egyptians in February.
Ethiopia condemned the executions and said investigations are ongoing, “We condemn this atrocity, whether they involve Ethiopian people or not”, said the Minister of Communication, Redwan Hussein. The minister recalled that in his country there are infiltrated jihadists with the Islamic Shebaab militants. The execution follows the sad ritual of the Caliphate, masked killers, and prisoners in line, beheading and shots in the back of their heads.
The man speaking has a gun and is in Jihadi Joe’s style, yelling menaces to “Crusade countries” and shouting that Christian must convert or pay according to the Islamic law, ‘Jizia’. Among the photos of wiped out churches and Christian images there is also a photo of Pope Ratzinger. “We are warning the Christians, we will find you everywhere, even if you are in fortified strongholds,” says the voice of the militant. It is uncertain how many members of the Libyan ISIS are there, although the Department of the State said there were about 1,000 – 3,000 militants. The strategy of radical jihadists is obvious.
