At least 64 people died and 87 were injured following a car bomb explosion at a market in Sadr City, the Shiite neighborhood of Baghdad, located in the eastern part of the Iraqi capital.
No one has claimed the attack yet, but there are suspicions about ISIS, which has frequently targeted areas inhabited by Shiites. The Daesh is a Sunni organization, and as such, it considers the Shiites to be heretics.
In recent months, the Iraqi armed forces have snatched many regions from the jihadists, but it has not limited their firepower. Baghdad has been frequently struck by attacks such as the one in Sadr City.
