Six loud explosions followed one another into the courtroom of Kabul’s Parliamentary. At the moment, 10 victims have been reported, 7 attackers and 3 civilians; more than 30 people were wounded. Taliban have claimed this attack against the Afghan Parliamentary in the Dural Aman district in the capital.
The armed men loaded with explosives blew themselves up as they entered the building. A car bomb kicked off the attack exploding near the main entrance, an explosion that paved the way for the terrorist group. This is what was reported by the police chief, Abdul Rahman Rahimi.
Local stations showed images of senators and lawmakers on the run from the building, as well as the participants at the session of parliament gathered for the review of the nomination of the country’s new defense minister, who were evacuated by the security forces. “We heard two loud explosions – an Al Jazeera reporter told – and then some shots”. After the first attack the attackers then attempted rush inside the compound, touching off an intense firefight with the police.
