The Libreria Editrice Vaticana releases a new guidebook in Arab; the title is “The Vatican, its meaning and monuments”. The author is the archbishop Edmond Farhat, the apostolic nuncio, from Libya. The editor explained “the volume is a guide for thousands of Arab-speaker tourists visiting Vatican City every day. Beyond artistic and monumental beauties – the Basilica and the Vatican Museum, the gardens and the catacombs – there is a description of fields and councils of the Vatican in order to explain its history, evolution and meaning”.
The book is presented this afternoon ar 5.30 pm in the Istituto Patristico Augustinianum in Rome, in via Paolo VI, 25. After Don Giuseppe Costa, director of the publishing house greeted everyone Card. Leonardo Sandri, prefect of the Congregation for Eastern Churches, the Libyan ambassador in the Holy See and the ambassador of the Arabian Republic in the Holy See intervened. Onorato Bucci will intervene too; he is the professor for Oriental Rights in the Pontifical Lateran University and in the University of Molise.
