Three dead people and thirteen wounded one, this is the toll of the crash between an Italian tourist bus and a T.I.R. it happened in Pocono Mountain, Pennsylvania. American media broadcast the terrible footage of the crash. According to the first reconstructions, the TIR lost control and hit the bus traveling in the opposite direction. It happened at about 10 am, local time, on Iterstate 380, about 114 miles north from Philadelphia.
The Italian Farnesina confirmed the number of victims although no news was released concerning the identity of people involved. Some wounded people are “in serious conditions”. Since the crash, the Italian Consulate has been constantly in touch with police officers and the Italians involved in the incident and has aided.
The tour was organized by Viaggiea, – a department of Alpitour – which affirmed that there were 14 people onboard, a tourist guide and the driver, but their nationality has not been confirmed yet. Wounded people, added the tour operator, were taken to three different hospitals. The Alpitour operator in New York is following the case and he visited wounded people in the hospital. Meanwhile, the tour operator created a unit of crisis in Italy.
