A suicide bomber blew himself up at a wedding reception in Gaziantep, Turkey. The attack is believed to have been committed by Isis fighters. At least 50 people were killed and 94 were injured in the explosion that devastated the room where the wedding reception was taking place: it was probably caused by a suicide bomber, according to a deputy of the Party for Justice and Development (AKP), quoted by CNN Turk. Local media report that dozens of ambulances and rescue workers arrived on the spot.

Terrorists “who cannot overpower Turkey and try to provoke the people, playing on ethnic and sectarian sensitive questions, will not prevail” – this is the comment made by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, quoted by Anadolu, after the attack at the wedding party in Gaziantep. “There is no difference between the PKK, the terrorist organization of Gulen, and the possibility of a terrorist attack at the hand of Isis in Gaziantep,” Erdogan said.

Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences to Recep Tayyip Erdogan for the attack in Gazantiep, which costed the lives of at least 50 people. He also reaffirmed Russia’s willingness to strengthen anti-terrorism cooperation with Ankara, reports Interfax.
