Is there anyone who has never forgotten to return a book or a DVD? To be forgetful, especially about things taken on loan is a widespread flaw. Most of the people forget to return to their rightful owner, be it a friend or an institution (for example a library) what has been taken, usually for a given period of time. But what happened in Oregon is truly incredible. In 1963 a student of the Portland state University had used two books which were property of the university library and perhaps forgot about them for over 52 years.

He returned the book to the structure not long ago, in a completely anonymous way. The two volumes were accompanied by a ticket which stated: “I borrowed those books more or less in 196, when I was attending the high school. And they remained with me for a long time. Now it is time for them to return home. Very old, of course, but it is up to you to decide their destiny”. Obviously, the note that accompanied the two books was not signed; but the leaders of the library said that even if they had known the identity of this person, (s)he would have suffered no consequences.
