During an X-Factor commercial break, in UK, was aired an about thirty-seconds-long snippet which seems to anticipate one of the songs from Adele’s next, and much-awaited, album. Neither the singer, nor the producers commented on the spreading of the video, but for a few weeks now have been circulating rumors about the possibility that Adele’s new disc could be officially released at the beginning of November.
The words sung in the short ad – by a voice that seems to belong to Adele – are the following: “Hello/It’s me/I was wondering if after all these years you’d like to meet/To go over everything. They say that time’s supposed to heal ya/But I ain’t done much healing…” Adele’s last effort, “21”, was released in January 2011 and according to estimations, over 30 million copies of it were sold around the world. Moreover, it did not leave for a long time the top of Billboard Top 200 disks of the last twenty years. Last year, there were rumors about the release of a new CD by the end of 2014, later denied by the record label XL Recordings, with which Adele works.
At the end of last August, Billboard announced that Adele was working on a disc. Among the producers and the special guests of her new effort, there are Danger Mouse, the Swedish record company owner Max Martin, and Ryan Tedder, the frontman of OneRepublic. Shortly after the transmission of the spot, OneRepubblic’s account posted a tweet which alluded to Adele.
