It seems that two protagonist bands of the ’90’s pop music, Backstreet Boys and Spice Girls, are planning a joint world tour during the summer of 2016. For more than a year now there have been rumors about this return, but these days have come some rumors that seem to confirm this hypothesis. Those feeling nostalgic about the ’90’s will be happy, even if considering the average age of more than 40 years of the stars, at present the names “boys” and “girls” sound a bit out of place.
The news was reported by the British tabloid Daily Star which interviewed Aj McLean from the Backstreet Boys. “A tour with the Spice Girls is an idea we have been considering for a year and a half now, and it is still being discussed – said the singer during the interview – They were great, but their success did not last for a long time. Teaming up with another big name is a way to try to reach a wider ‘public’”.
On the other hand, the possibility of a reunion was denied last august 7 by Emma Bunton from the Spice Girls who told BBC that she did not have concrete plans at the moment. At any rate, Victoria Beckham would be missing, since she has always been contrary to any kind of rapprochement.
