A woman squatted an apartment that was confiscated by the National Agency for Goods confiscated from the mafias and literally dismantled it with the help of an unsuspecting team of workers. She even removed the doors, windows, and the gutters. The policemen had noticed suspect movements nearby the house located in the district of Romanina, in a stable confiscated to organized crime. The woman, 38-year-old, was from a Sinti-Roman family. She was denounced for squatting, aggravated theft, and aggravated damage to State property.
As explained by the Corriere della Sera, despite the fact that the woman had received the order to leave the place, she returned to the house with laborers, and removed almost everything, the armored doors and the gate, the copper gutters, and amassed everything in the courtyard of an adjacent building. If possible, the inside of the apartment seemed even more coarsely damaged and some of the internal plasterboard partitions were destroyed. The police action has made it possible to recover all the unduly subtracted material which was then subjected to criminal seizure.
