There was a time when getting a new job was celebrated with a toast in the family or with friends. But in modern culture, in which self-praise is reigning, even such a joyful even can lead to excess and risk of paying the consequences. The unfortunate (and little astute) protagonist of this story told by the Mirror is a 23-year-old American.
After having got a job at St Charles, a company in Illinois, the young man had the brilliant idea to undress and take a selfie of his private parts in order to send the picture to his girlfriend. An absurd way to celebrate the contract he was going to sign. Euphoria made him pick out the wrong contact on the phone, and he sent the brave photo to the new employer, with whom he had just finished talking.
The man understood immediately that it was a clamorous gaffe and did not answered. The young man, who did not even notice the mistake, forwarded the selfie again, hoping for a response from his girl. Nothing to be done: total silence. At this point he decided to call the number and was seized by panic when, on the other end, he heard the voice of his new boss. The latter reported to the police and stopped immediately the selection process for the job position.
