A year ago, on August 11, 2014 died Robin Williams. The extraordinary Hollywood actor hanged himself in his own house as a result of a deep depression that had struck him during the last few years. A difficult childhood marked by having been bullied at school, the death of two dear friends, John Belushi and the Superman Christopher Reeve, his addiction to alcohol and drugs…all this has marked the existence of a stage talent able to make spectators laugh or cry with just a few words, but who away from stage was a prey to ”dark evil”.
His movies are countless, first and foremost Good Will Hunting, that has brought him his only Oscar as an actor in a non-leading role in 1998. But are widely known also Goodmorning Vietnam and Dead Poets Society, Pach Adams and other movies in which he has played his most brilliant roles such as A Night at the Museum, Jumanji and Mrs. Doubtfire. To celebrate his undying talent, America will stop for a few minutes today. Local TV channels will show specials and in Paradise Cay, where the actor lived, they expect a crowd of fans and normal people to come to leave a flower in front of his house.
