A new film for Clint Eastwood, who’s back to celebrate the American heroes. After the success of “American Sniper”, the director proposes to the big screen the story of Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, the pilot who in January 2009 ditched the US Airways Flight 1549 in a splash landing on the Hudson river saving all passengers on board. Once again, the film will be produced by Warner Bros, which has become a partner of the Californian director.
Shooting is scheduled for next fall and Sullenberger himself commented on the news: “I am very glad my story is in the hands of gifted storyteller and filmmaker Clint Eastwood, and veteran producers Allyn Stewart and Frank Marshall. The project could not have found a better home than Warner Bros. Pictures. This is truly a dream team”.
Thus, another biopic that demonstrates the vitality and enthusiasm of an author who is 85 but who has not lost the passion for his work. “American Sniper” grossed over half-a-billion dollars worldwide, and, although the shooting has not started yet, the world has high expectations of the upcoming movie, that in a few months after the tragedy of Germanwings seems to remember to people that there are heroes who can save your life with courage and readiness.
