Bullying is one of the social sores that affect mostly teenagers in this age and era. With these terms, what is intended is a violent behaviour, both physical and psychologically, carried out by the same ‘bully’ against individuals identified by society and the same bully as being weak and incapable of defending themselves. The consequences on the victims can be very serious and in some cases lead to death.
Organised on occasion of the ‘ Prima Giornata Nazionale Giovani Uniti Contro il Bullismo’ (First National Youth Day against Bullying’) it’s scope is to draw the attention of public opinion on this issue – often covered up by the silence of those who assisting such violence on the mi sfortunate youth, refuse to speak – today at the Olympic Stadium in Rome, Amadeus will present the theatrical perfomance of “The last of the bullies”. Alongside him, will be many hosts such as: Paola Perego, Lorella Cuccarini, Claudia Gerini, Marco Liorni, Paola Ferrari, Luca Barbareschi, Samantha de Grenet, Antonelli Mosetti, Giorgio Tirabassi, Franca Leosini, Andrea Carnevale, Aldo Biscardi, Vincenzo Cantatore, Matteo Branciamore, Aldo Montano, Claudio Bigagli, Luca Dotto, Ettore Bassi.
“The lst of the Bullies” i san original and significant theatrical representation dedicated to the victims of bullies, a show where this social scourge which is the result of ignorance and incapacità to communicate, is overcome with the Teatro d’AnimAzione Pedagogico, theory of the Lecturer of the Roma Tre Giovanna Pini University. The show sees the participation of 250 youths beongng to the ‘Associazione Nazionale Giovani Uniti Contro il Bullismo’ and pupils of the Istituto Paritario G. G. Visconti and Premio Curcio for Attività Creative.
This theatrical performance too lwill be dedicated to the first victim of bullying in Italy, Francesco Scerbo, a fourteen year old who died after been bullied, which occurred 22 November 1995 at the railway station of Villa Claudia, in the municipalità of Anzio. The evening will host the mothers of Francesco, Renata Scerbo, of Diego, Mira Mancioli and of Andrea, Teresa Manes, all youths who died after having been bullied. Corageous mothers who dedicate their lives on the prevention of bullying. The show has gained recognition from ‘Osservatorio Nazionale Bullismo and Doping’ as best social event for the youth. “The last of the bullies” exploits the pedagogic potential which is drama inwith the aim of teaching youg people how to love and how to love each other , the best means to defend themselves against the nastiness and rage of those who are violent.
