On May 21st, the meeting of Salesians will visit the places of Don Bosco during the bicentenary of his birth. The event revolves around the Feast of Mary Help of Christians. This will be an occasion to exchange, share and enrichment, a spiritual and charismatic occasion for Salesian bishops and for the General Council of the Congregation.

Nearly 90 Salesian cardinals, archbishops and bishops will attend the meeting and they will come from every diocese of the world, even from the smallest state of the world, Vatican City. There will be pastors from every missionary reality, as Mixes, Chaco Paraguayo and Azerbaijan … bishops and cardinals who have served the Holy See will attend too.

“This year, our Salesian family is focused on the mission of Don Bosco” recalls the Rector, Don Ángel Fernández Artime. The last meeting of Salesian bishops was 5 years ago for the 150th anniversary of the birth of the Congregation. In that occasion, the meeting was simultaneous to the exhibit of the Holy Shroud, which will be venerated again in the north of Italy on May 22.
