JAPAN, FAREWELL PASSWORDS, HERE COMES ARROWS The new iris recognition system seems to be safer than fingerprints

  • Italiano

Even scatterbrains can sleep safe and sound. It will not be necessary to remember your smartphone’s password anymore. The mobile company NTT Docomo has designed the first smartphone with an iris recognition system to be released in May.

This new technology is launched with the new smartphone Arrows Nx, designed by Fujitsu. This new phone will allow users to buy online just with a look. The mobile device has a front camera with infrared rays and an infrared led light to recognize the iris.

Irises are different for every human being; therefore, it is an ideal biometrical parameter to substitute conventional recognition devices and all security systems allowing people to pay online or unlock their phones.

The new smartphone Arrows will be on sale at the end of May in Asia and it will run Android 5.0. Many Asiatic companies have been working on this technology because it seems to be 10 times more precise than fingerprint recognition systems used, for example, in the latest iPhone devices.
