A man has been arrested in Mansfield, Massachusetts, accused of having threatened American President Barack Obama with death. The police intervened following the request of the Secret Service, and at first the man had refused to surrender.
He was captured in his flat only after long talking. Dangerous substances have been found in the man’s house, which called for the intervention of the special squadron. The man arrested after the special squadrons ‘Swat’ and a mediator had intervened, was taken to a local hospital – reports Boston Globe – and is undergoing check-ups to assess his psychic conditions.
His identity has still to be revealed. As is not clear whether the man effectively had the means to carry out the threats made towards the president. The contents of the threats at the present moment have not been revealed by the investigators.
