His name is Simone Borgese, the victim recognized him. “It was a moment,” he said. The rapist of the taxi driver woman in Rome is a waiter. Investigation lasted 48 hours; officers reached him thanks to his mobile phone. The woman had driven her client on Friday morning, near Hotel Ergife, in Rome.
The man was found at his grandparents’ house and was arrested for robbery, injury and rape. The officers could find him because of the identikit the victim gave them, but above all, thanks to a colleague of the victim who testified. Some days before the rape, Borgese had taken another taxi.
He confessed, as he knew the victim had recognized him in a photo; fingerprints and DNA also nailed him.
