The two famous bands, Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd, joint forces and talent to create a song to help people in Nepal, recently hit by the earthquake.
The song is called “Save the Children (Look into your Heart”) and it is available on iTunes (0.99). proceeds will be donated to Save the Children.
They recorded in the amazing Abbey Road Studios, in London. Mick Jagger and Ronnie Wood took part in the recording, they are the voice and the guitar of the Rolling Stones, there was also Pink Floyd’s drummer, Nick Mason; the producer is the queen English soul, Beverley Knight, a choir of 100 members of the humanitarian organization accompanies her voice.
Throughout history, many famous artists created song for charity, like Michael Jackson, U2 and Elton John; they helped for researches for most common diseases of our century: HIV, earthquake victims, hungry people in Africa.
‘Do They Know it’s Christmas” with Bono, Duran Duran, Phil Collins, One Direction, Ellie Goulding and many others to fight Ebola; “We are the World” to fight hunger in Africa, written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie in 1985, it sold 20 million copies all around the world. In Italy, there was “Domani 21/04/2009” for the earthquake in Abruzzo in 2009, and “Il mio nome è mai più” by Ligabue, Jovanotti and Piero Pelù, released in 1999 for Emergency.
