Disembarking are ongoing in Italy. This morning the Aviere military ship brought 274 people in Taranto, they were rescued overnight. Off the harbor of Zuara, a crumbling boat, onboard there are about 42 minors and 46 women. The attorney of Taranto is prepared to give them shelter.
On Saturday, coastguards and the navy rescued 334 migrants the day before and brought them in Augusta. Among them 42 minors and 46 women. Today, coastguards stopped a suspicious boat that could have disembarked illegal migrants on April 26.
The white 10-meters-long boat was waving the Ukrainian flag. Officers found many life jackets and got suspicious. On the land, near the disembarkation place there were 23 Iraqi people, they were all healthy and were led in the shelter houses.
According to investigators, the boat left from Turkey and it took it one week to reach the coasts of Italy. Everyone paid €4,000 for the trip. Three people were arrested, they may be Ukrainian traffickers, and they are 54, 44 and 35.
