Thanks to Don Giuseppe Chen for the first time, in the Cathedral of Turin where the shroud was exhibited last Sunday, prayers were recited in Chinese. Chen is one of the seven priests who attends to the Chinese community in Italy, and who accompanied a hudred Chinese students attending the University of Turin to visit the holy Shroud. The young students will lead alongwith 50 professors of the university, the twinning up of the Pastoral university in Turin with that in Rome.

Don Luca Peyron, after praying before the Shroud, will celebrate mass in the Church of the Annunciation together with Monsignor Lawrence Leuzzi, responsible for University of Pastoral works in Rome and Chaplain of Montecitorio.

Turin has for more than four years welcomed 400 Chinese students, and three of them, Zhao Hong Ming aged 27, who studies at Palazzo Nuovo, cinema and media courses, the 25-year-old Shi Fang Fei enrolled in language courses and tourism, while working as an interpreter at important hospitals of the city and her peer Shi-Zhen Hua who is studying singing at the Conservatory “G.
