“Respectfully but firmly, we do not agree with the necessity to file a Statement of Objection and we are ready to support our ideas during the next weeks”. This is the simple and firm response of the Internet Google colossus, after the EU accused it of abuse of power. Margrethe Vestager, EU Commissioner in the Juncker Commission, announced it.

The American giant of tech is accused of monopolization of the market; it owns 90% of online research field, cutting off every competition. The Mountain View agency does not agree and states, “Although Google is the most used searching engine, people can find information in different ways and saying we damage our clients and competition is not enough”.

The European Antitrust started its investigations five years ago because of a suspected abuse concerning commercials and online researches. Investigations could lead to a fine of 10% of their income, meaning about $6 billion.
