A few hours after the slaughter in the Court in Milan, the archbishop of an area in Milan firmly condemns it. Card. Angelo Scola said “this mad murderous act caused the death of the magistrate Fernando Ciampi, the lawyer Lorenzo Alberto Claris Appiani e and Mr. Giorgio Erba is seriously bewildering and painful. My sorrow joins the sorrow of the Ambrosian Church and the citizens of Milan and the whole country”.

Card. Scola invited people to pray “in order for the light of the Risen God to bring to the hearts of the families of the victims the hope of eternal life. May the author of life console them from this terrible sorrow”. The archbishop also added, “let us not allow confusion and fear to make room for useless debates. May the tragic death of these victims increase our efforts for the development of Milan. Every institution, starting from the Church, has to set aside blinding evilness leading to murder in order to teach common good and grant citizens safety”.
