The Petro Poroshenko President of Ukrainem, is ready for a referendum on the reform of the State; he stated, “About 90% of the population is against federalization”, the model supported by Moscow to give more power to the eastern regions pro-Russian, as the Minsk agreement states. “For those who want federalism we have something called ‘referendum’ – said the head of the state – and I am ready for a referendum if you members of the committee for the reform of the state think it is appropriate”.
Anyways, “Ukraine will still be a Unitarian state”, said Poroshenko to the separatists of the east regions. The Prime Minister Arsenij Jacenjuk said, “A new Constitution should grant the interests of an entire State. About the dialogue with the east, we want it to be with legally elected representatives and not with criminals and Russian terrorists”. The response from Moscow arrived when the meeting in Verchovna Rada – Ukrainian Parliament – was still ongoing. According to the Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergej Lavrov, the Ukranian Constitutional reform need the acceptance of Donetsk e Lugansk. From Kiev, nothing has been actually done.
