“Every year the same, there is always someone who wants to stand out for stupidity. Teachers want to erase Mother’s and Father’s Day because of changes in families. This is an excuse, unknown to families, in order to brainwash children with gender ideas, no more mum and dad, just parent 1 and parent 2. I spoke with parents and they have every right to get angry” this is what the counselor of Regione Lazio , Fabrizio Santori, said about the decision of the teaching body of a Primary School in Rome to eliminate Mother’s and Father’s Day.

It is useless saying that the majority of parents did not agree with the decision of teachers who declared “families are always changing”. In addition, although the resolution was taken on 14 October 2014, it was announced just a few days ago, on Father’s Day. Parents got organized and chose to walk the legal path, they sent an injunction asking to revoke the resolution otherwise they will turn to the TAR.

The same happened in another primary school in Roma. Last February 20th, during a meeting between teachers and parents; they discussed about the “celebration on Father’s and Mother’s Day”. Parents sent protest letters to the Mayor and the Assessor.

“Unfortunately, these kind of actions are supported, proposed, and sponsored thanks to precise and expensive projects by public administration working to destabilize the fundamental values of our society. For example, the value of family based on the marriage of a man and a woman protecting maternity. They want to stop any program that supports these rights. – said Santori – This is why I wish the Minister of Education, Stefania Giannini, to abolish the resolution of the teaching body in order to allow children to celebrate at least Mother’s Day. Not having respect for reality is a dangerous signal of the decline of our social and cultural context”.
